We all have pretty jam-packed morning schedule, right? And there is no specific skincare routine we vigilantly follow due to time constraints. It tends to change based on the season and state of the skin on that day. In winters you moisturize more, in summers you tend to use more serums and in spring you exfoliate more to get rid of the dry winter skin.
If you are a follower of K-Beauty you will know that it’s not the products that you use but the order in which you use them. By applying the skincare products in the most effective way you are making sure that they are working properly in the manner they are designed to.
Awaken your skin by following our recommended 4 steps morning skincare routine.
Step 1: Wake up Cleanse
Try and keep the morning cleanse to the minimal we say. Cleansing the face with water in the morning not only gently cleanses the skin but also retains the moisture which any soap or a cleanser will strip the skin of.
If you have been a fan of the Korean beauty products then you must be aware of konjac sponge fame and its gentle exfoliating properties that’s made from the konjac root. The natural clays help to cleanse the skin without, again, stripping the skin’s natural oils.
Step 2: Morning Hydration
We are huge promoters of organic hydrosols as skin tonic and toner. It not only prepares the skin for the subsequent products to be layered on top but also hydrates the skin. Try hydrosols that are suitable for even the sensitive skin like lavender, rose and jasmine.
Step 3: Plumping, brightening & healing Serums
The core of any skincare routine, serums get easily absorbed in the skin to give amazing results, whether skin correcting, brightening , blemish reducing or anti aging.
Apply to the skin before moisturizer and let it sit on the skin for a few minutes and let the actives do their job!
Step 4: Moisturize and Protect
With so many options available in the market, get your hands on the one that works for you skin the best. This you will know by how your skin reacts to it. Always give yourself a mini facial massage with a good moisturizer to make sure the product gets completely absorbed in the skin. If you are using a balm, warm it between your fingers first and then apply it.
And finally and most importantly, sun protection. Always use a good quality sunscreen before you move out of the house. There are various natural mineral options available as well. It’s a must to protect yourself from sun damage, hyperpigmentation, and skin cancer.
Always apply from the lightest to the heaviest products ladies. While skincare products vary from person to person, the order you use them makes a world of difference.
