¾ cup chamomile butter
1/3 cup organic coconut oil
1 cup rosemary, lavender or chamomile hydrosol
25 drops chamomile essential oil
1 glass jar to store
Makes 2 cups approx.
Recommended for : all skin types
Uses : Can be used daily
On a low temperature heat the chamomile butter base until it melts. In the other pan warm the hydrosol.
Remove both the pans and allow them to cool to body temperature. The butter base when it cools down will become slightly opaque and should be the consistency of a soft loose
salve. This process should take approximately 5-10 minutes. As it thicken some more, stir a little and remove any lumps.
Pour the mixture into the blender. Turn on the blender to a slow or medium speed depending on the blender and slowly pour the hydrosol mixture from the top lid. Almost immediately the body butter will start to thicken. Blend for 5-10 seconds more. Turn off the blender and check the mixture. It should have a smooth texture.
As a last step add in the chamomile essential oil and stir it with a spoon and pour it into the glass jar .
Use it within 30 days. If you plan to use it for longer then refrigerate it and it will last for 3-6 months.
